We had a real rip-snorting Thunderstorm this evening. The winds were very hard and we had pea size hail and much rain. Several lightning strikes seems very close, but we came through it all right. Several areas of the metro area are probably in flood conditions and we are supposed to get more later tonight. If we do, I hope it is quiet because I am heading to bed soon.

Good night!

You're welcome to send some rain this way my friend. It's getting sort of dry here.

Tomorrow's Friday!

I sure would, if I had that kind of power. :-) I'm sure we will be into our summer drought soon too and will be wishing for rain like this!

Hope there is no flooding
WOW Gary, I sure hope there isn't any flooding in your area tonight. To be flooded is an awful thing to have happen to a person or a family. This I know from personal experince. We were flooded back in 1989, I was looking at some of those pictures the other day. We have since moved and now live on the very top of the tallest hill in the area.

Re: Hope there is no flooding
Our house is not in a flood area, so we are fine. I was just watching the news and some areas more into the big city were flooding in the streets, Nothing serious, as far as I could tell. The house where we were living when I was about 5 years old was flooded out, (I wrote about it in here, but can't remember what day) so I know the flood experience all too well!

Re: Hope there is no flooding
Gary, I'm glad that you didn't have any flooding in the latest storm. Janis and I are well versed on flooding as well. In 1989 we lost everything we had in a flood, or just about everything. That was a tough year for a lot of folks around here.

Glad to hear y'all are alright. Spring can bring some doosie thunderstorms.
Don't want your rain, but I'll take some of your cooler temps, please!..*smiling*
Nite, Gary! Hope the thunder has quited, so you'll rest well.

I love thunderboomers, but I must admit sometimes they kinda scare me. I remember one time I was watching outside of my house a few years back after I first got married, in the middle of the night, and I was CERTAIN there was gonna be a tornado. I could NOT wake up my husband for all the love in the world! He kept telling me to go back to sleep. Ticked me off when he was right the next morning and not a thing happened!

Re: Yikes!
I don't mind thunder and lightning, as long as it is over there and not close by me. :-) The big winds are not too fun and the twisters are definitely a bad thing! Thankfully, all was well last night!
