I had beef stroganoff (sp?) and some cottage cheese for lunch. Now I'm having some cherry yogurt and I'll save my fruit snacks for a bit later. I had an apple about an hour ago. I'm washing it all down with a diet Dr Pepper!

We had that last night. Mmmmm! it was good. It's the first time I've made it myself and not bought it pre-cooked. LOL...That's bad, considering my age!..hahaha

I quit drinking my diet pepsi about 3 weeks ago. It was actually a lot easier to do than I thought it would be.
I just waited till I was thirsty for tea and then quit buying them.
My reason for stopping was cause I read in someone's LJ that aspartame slows your metabolism down. I was thinking Dang! as if mine ain't slow enough already.
I drink caffeinated during the day & decaff at night.
Funny thing is, after drinking sodas daily for 27+ years, I don't miss it at all.

I have heard that. Diet soda has not been a long term thing for me. I usually drink regular. My metabolism is probably slow too, but I need to exercise more. I need to research that aspartame claim though because I need all the help I can get! I use artificial sweetener in my coffee and tea also, so that's quite a bit. :-) We have found a new sweetener called Splenda that is supposed to be made from dextrose.

It's just the cherry yogurt for me. Mixed with an equal amount of plain yogurt. Sigh ;)

I could do that. I really like yogurt. I have my main meal at lunch and only eat a salad or some soup at dinner time. When I was also exercising, that was enough to help me lose weight. Now that I am not exercising, I am not loosing. I guess I need to eat less or start walking!

Start walking, whatever you do with the eating. It's one of the best things you can do for yourself. When I was working in an office, I'd take at least a 1/2 hour walk every lunchtime I could. I still walk every day. It's easier on the knees than running and you don't get as sweaty. Unless it's really hot ;)

Sounds yummy!
I have leftover mexicali mac/cheese and corn for lunch. . . wish I had stroganoff though.
