The trick is to keep half of the parakeets flying...
I really enjoy driving to different places, even though I don't do it as much as I used to. As I drive through an unfamiliar city, I often wonder where all the people are going. Are they just driving through to another destination, as I am, or are they going to a job or returning home from one? Sometimes, this will get turned around in my mind, and I will look at traffic in my area and see it from the prospective of an outsider.

Another thing I often ponder - At any given time of day, there are surely many people driving from one place to another and many people flying from place to place. This nation is a nation on the move. Would it be a lot more crowded, if everyone stayed home? Sometimes my mind works in strange ways. :-)

You're not the only one with a mind that works in strange ways. I remember having something of an epiphany when I was a child... sitting in the back seat of the car, watching all those people driving wherever they were going... thinking whatever they were thinking... and it occurred to me that there were millions of people doing that at any given moment, and where were they going? What were they all thinking? Blew my little mind, it did... still does, really.

Heck, my mind can't even comprehend all the lives of these livejournal people I read, let alone everyone I pass on the freeway ;)
