I tell you, you take your life in your hands when you drive on KC freeways these days. I was driving home and was in the right lane because my exit was coming up. I had just passed an entrance ramp, when this car decides they are going to pull into my lane. There was no signal and they sure didn't turn and look, or they would have seen my car was in the way. I braked hard and hit on the horn. They didn't even flinch. Maybe they were deaf and probably blind too! Now, I must tell you this was not a short on-ramp. The driver had almost a mile of ramp left before it ran out, so there was no hurry to merge. I'm glad I was paying attention, as they sure were not. Sometimes I wonder if I am invisible, and my car too, because this has happened too many times lately.

Oh how I remember those KC expressways. Yes, you're a brave man! LOL.

Glad to hear that you avoided the accident!

They are much worse in the last couple of years! Or maybe I'm just getting old. Naw, they are worse! :-)

As long as I have room to get out of their way, I am usually ok.

You need a bigger horn. Like an air horn off a diesel locomotive ;)

Re:
Probably so. The horn on this Elantra isn't very loud! :-)

Re:
None of my horns are loud. Actually, they're kind of squeaky and tinny. If I ever got a big horn, I'd use it. And probably irritate some 300 pounder who would beat me to a pulp. So I have no plans for a big horn ;)

Good plan.
