I just got back from a nice drive to work. When I got there, I found that the building was closed! The roads were wonderful, but the side streets had many downed trees. Power is out for about 270 thousand homes in the metro.

Follow this link, for some pictures!

I hope everyone enjoys the day!

Nice pictures
Great pictures Gary. You have the date wrong on the photos though. You have it listed as 2/31/2002. I don't think we have one of those dates this year ;)

Re: Nice pictures
Right you are. I'm off by almost a month.

we had an ice storm like that a few years back here. oh, it was awful. power outages and such.
but at the same time, the ice that was on everything was beautiful. like a fantasy land or something. the way the sun would shine on the ice...everything was all sparkly.

well, i pray that you all stay safe and warm...

Yes, we are fine. The ice is pretty, as long as it is out there and we are in here with the heat on! :-)

WOW Gary! An ice storm like that would shut this place down for days...LOL. Hope everything is alright and gets back to normal for you soon.

I should be good for work tomorrow. We never did get the snow and the roads are good. Our street is not, but we are close to a major clear street. I feel sorry for all the many people who don't have power. At least it's suppose to warm up slowing after tonight.

Wow Gary. I just read about this on the news!!! It reminds me of the Ice Storm of the Century we had in New York in 1998. Amazing. I hope you didn't lose power in such a cold.

We did not, but at least one of our friends at church did. They don't have any little ones, so they seems to be doing ok. With Abigail, we would have had to gone somewhere, as she can't take the cold.
