Good morning
I had a pretty good weekend, but I could use two more days. I'm not going to get them for a while. :-)

Almost all the ice is melted from the ground. The trees melted off on Saturday. We lost a good part of two out of three trees. One of the tree, I don't like anyway, so it's no great lose, but it's a shame what happened to our maple out front. One of the three major trunk shoots (technical term :-)) is gone about half way down!

I hope everyone has a good day today!

Good morning Gary. That is a shame about your trees. The ice makes the limbs so heavy and the cold makes them so brittle. I used to work for a power company years ago. We would take those sticks and run up a tree to saw a limb. If it was very cold we could almost snap the limb into without cutting it.

Hope your day turns out to be a good one.

Re:
Thanks Audis. Yes, there were many trees bent almost double when the ice was at it's worst. There will be many empty spots when this is all cleaned up.

oh my Gary. That reminds me of New York. We were in the middle of a forest and trees were snapping and falling like dominos. It was an eerie sound! Quite scary in fact.
