That's it; I've had it!
I'm tired of my shirts being tight across the front. I'm tired of carrying all this weight around. Now, I'm going to do something about it!

Re:
LOL, I'm at the point now that I refuse to buy bigger shirts! They're too big as it is! :-)

What can I do to support you?

Re:
Just knowing that you do, is a big help. I'm going to try and get some more exercise and cut back on my intake.

I was just thinking, it's been very long since I've even felt hungry. And I realize, even then, that it is not true hunger. We have it so good in this part of the world!

Stay with it, Gary. It does take time, but it's worth it ;)

Re:
I know it is and I do realize that I didn't put on the weigh fast, so it will take time to take it back off!

If I can just avoid the snack monster, I'll do much better! :-)

The snack monster is an old enemy of mine ;)

Good for you, Gary!

Find something that's enjoyable for you to do- that's the secret.

Sometimes when schedules don't permit gym time, we find time to just walk around the neighborhood.

Gym time is more palatable when I can position myself on an aerobic machine in front of the news on tv- or- shhh! don't tell anybody! in front of some true trash tv i wouldn't be caught dead watching otherwise...

You've got the right idea: you didn't gain it in a week, you won't lose it in a week, but that's OK. Whatever exercise you do will make you feel better and soon that will become more important than the appearance.

The appearance will follow naturally.

I think of my gym time as time I invest in me. I don't want to be social during my gym time, so I hide under the headphones, watch tv or read while on the aerobics machines. Some people want to be social- that's their thing, that's what makes it work for them, so that's what they do.

Whatever makes you happy to be there- that's what will work. :)

Congratulations on your decision!

PS- was thinking about writing a gym rant post tonight- you may find it humorous (or not...) heh...

i'll be your prayer buddy concerning this matter. i know a few friends who are gathering the discipline to lose unneeded weight. ;)

Good for you gary!!

I hope you manage to succeed in losing the weight you want to - I for one, and no doubt many others on your friends list are here to support you *hugs*

Myself and Dave(thelovebug are also on a healthy eating plan at the moment - I lost 1 stone 4 lb for my wedding, and I plan to lose another 3 stone by the summer - to be at my target weight.

we're following the Slimming World plan, which is a healthy eating plan and allows you to eat a lot of foods (it's just putting the right foods together)

Good luck with it all

Moo
