Good morning
We are having a good old-fashioned thunder storm this morning. The only light show n the sky was the cloud to cloud and cloud to ground lightning. Thankfully, it stopped raining as I got to work, so my short walk was a dry one. :-)

I hope everyone has a great Tuesday!

Good morning Gary!
It rained on the weekend - a welcome relief, and I'm afraid that the cold spell has hit us from today, in Johannesburg it's 1 degree C, and in other parts -1!
Winter has come!

Brrr! I'm glad we're going into Summer and not Winter! Try and stay warm!

No TS here, just heat!

What are you getting your wife & mom for Mother's Day?
I haven't a clue as to what I'll get hubby's Mom...hoping to get some ideas from you;-)

Well, since my wife is not my mother, I usually don't get her anything. Perhaps I am wrong in this! Do you expect your husband to get you something?

I may get them both some flowers. They always seem to appreciate flowers! My wife is so hard to buy for. She is so frugal that it can't be something "really" nice, as she'll just return it! :-)

No! I don't want, nor expect anything, but through the years it's just become a tradition with hubby & the children.
I receive something from him & the children every year.
We usually go out to eat too.
Lots of years we've celebrated with his Mom as well, eating out & such.
I've received flowers a lot of the years...that's always been nice.
I've noticed that usually hubby will use this occasion to buy me something that we wouldn't normally spend the money on...or rather, I wouldn't.

I don't think I've ever returned anything hubby or the children has bought me, but there have been those times, when I felt that we needed the money much more than I needed whatever the gift was...
I guess it all comes down to the "Thought" of it...
It's lovely just to be wished "Happy Mother's Day"...from the children...No gifts are actually necessary, HUGS are way better, ofcourse!

Yes, we do the going out to eat thing too. We usually try to include my mother and all our kids. Because Sunday is not a good day to go out to eat, we usually celebrate on Saturday at lunch.
