Sweat and blood..

Well, there was a lot of sweat anyway! I stopped at the Y this afternoon, even though I didn't feel like it. I did my 2.2 mile/30 minutes on the cross trainer. I increased the tension a notch, so it was a harder workout. Next I did 20 minutes on the treadmill with 15 of those at a 16 min/mile pace and cooled down for the final 5 minutes at a slower pace. My back begins to tighten up part way through the exercise, but that's about par for my back.

According to the readouts on the machines, I burned about 500 to 600 calories. I don't know how accurate they are, but they do allow you to enter your weigh and stuff, so they may be close. My job after a workout like that is to not eat back all the calories I've just burned of! :-) My weigh is still hanging around 252, but it should drop more soon.
