computer event...  
My brand-new Compaq laptop failed to boot up this morning. It will probably need to go back to Compaq. They said it may take 2 weeks! Grrrrr!

So, I may be fairly scarce here as most of my LJ time is at work. I'll try to keep up with you all somehow!

I'm glad to see you're alright.

One can only hope, but it will probably be 1 or 2 days here in the local store and then who knows how long to Compaq and back. *sigh* I'll go through withdrawls! :-(

Don't you have another laptop?

My day lately, don't seem to end till around midnight.
Makes that 5:30 come way early, for this old gal.
Lauren is out trick or treating with some friends, Matt is at a friends, the baby just went to bed, hubby is playing his bass & here I sit, watching CNN.
I'm cooking. Supper is running late tonight.
Goulash is what we're having:-)

I gave my old laptop to my son. Pam's day is almost as long as yours. I get up at 5:15 and she gets up at 6:00. She doesn't come to bed until after 11 at night, whereas I go at about 8:30 and read for an hour with lights out at 9:30. I don't think I could do the 5:30 to midnight for very long!

Our evening went very well thanks! We had good food and good company!

By the time it seems, I get everybody else to bed & then do all the stuff I put off, it's just late!

Oh wow Gary, that is a bummer, one that I am way too familar with. I'm so disappointed in Compaq. When it gets time to get a new computer I don't know for sure what kind it will be, but I do know for sure it won't be a Compaq. When I sent mine off last year I was a month getting it back. When I finally got it back they had took it upon themselves to do a restore which means that nothing was left and I actually wondered if it were the same computer because it didn't respond nothing like it did before I sent it off. Ok, that's enough of me griping about Compaq...LOL, hope your experince is better than mine.

Well, I already did a reload to see if that would fix it and it did not, so my data is gone already!

Two weeks will be bad enough, I sure hope it's not a month!
