Where has it all gone...
This is the final day of 2003! It doesn't seem like a year has passed since 2002. I think it's a sign of age, but the weeks, months and years seem to go by at an ever accelerating rate.

I'm looking forward to a blessed year in 2004 and I pray that everyone would receive the same!

i agree with you about this being a sign of the age. i was telling my dad a few days ago that when i was a child, a day was such a long, significant period. when the sun set and you went to bed, you felt like you had lived an entire lifetime in that day. and now, there are not enough hours in a day! it's kind of exciting to have the promise of an uncloudy, eternal day isn't it? :)

uncloudy, eternal day isn't it
I have a theory about why time seems to go faster. When we are young, a day is a pretty significant part of out life to that point. As we get older, a day increasingly becomes a smaller part of our total experience. I'm sure I'm not the first to observe this.

You mention eternity and I wonder if some will have a hard time adjusting to eternity where time has little importance. We are so limited by time while here on earth. It will be wonderful to no longer have the restrictions that time brings with it!

adjusting to eternity...i never thought of that. :) you know how people describe eternity as if it were a never-ending time period. well, i've always wondered if eternity is in fact a whole different concept from time...something we cannot ever hope to understand while in these bodies...not like time, passing and always continuing, but almost like an unending now, where there's no past, no future, because we'll know all things, and be known as we are known. i dunno...i'm confusing myself just thinking about it...guess i'll have to wait and see :)

I'm sure there is much about God and heaven that our finite minds just cannot imagine or comprehend! It's surely something to look forward to! :-)

I agree with you that the days seem to go by so much faster as we grow older.

Well, me too!
My early morning consist of nothing quite so deep though.
More on the line of, what will Landon do, wear, play today...haha!
Such is the life of a SAHMommy I suppose!
Anyway, I'm off to the dreaded Walmart to pick some stuff up for New Years Day.
See ya later on today, if you're still around.

Have fun at Walmart! I know how much you enjoy that store! ;-)

I should be around later, depending on how late you mean. Once I get home, there always seems to be more to do other than LJ!
