good morning
Well, this is a sad day for many in the US. If you haven't done it already, you may have to write a big check to the IRS. I got my last bit of taxes done day before yesterday. I had to write a small check to the state. I actually got more back than I paid this year, but even that is a mixed blessing because it means I paid too much during the year. A well, whatcha gonna do? :-)

I hope everyone has a great day regardless of your tax status!

So happy my taxes are done and behind me. Acutally this year I did get a refund from both the state and the feds. I'm not used to that...LOL

I got money back from Fed but had to pay the state, due to unemployment. I don't mind overpaying some, it's a forced saving account and I so enjoy the refund (even if I don't get interest on it, but since interest rates are so low it doesn't make a lot of difference)

Yes, that is true! I like it that interest rates are low, except when I see the interest I earn on bank accounts! I hope you get a good offer from your job search soon!

Ironically, I'm actually anxious to file this year, but that's because I'm getting a fairly sizable refund. Having kids is nice on April 15.

It's been many years since we gotten the children's deductions. I miss them! :-)
