Trying a new LJ client called Chronicle. It seems to have a spell checker! Birthdays in the next 7 days, new friends and lost friends are in a panel to the left of the main typing area. Misspelled words are underlined red as you type. I don't know the extent of the dictionary at this point of course.chronicleclient will tell you more about it. And you can go there to find the download.

I downloaded this (I need a spell checker and can't get Semagic's to work, I guess you need Word on you computer to make it work, or at least that's what I was told some time ago). I liked the spelling thing, but when it was time to submit the post, I couldn't find the post button. By that time I was tired and too lazy to read the help section. It was probably right under my nose.... I'll read more today to find it. I think I'm going to like it though....

Yes, the post button is somewhat hidden, but you are right, it's right there in plain sight. I don't have that client on this computer to tell you exactly, but I think it's hard to see because it is a text link and not a standard button, if I remember correctly.

I think I still like Semagic better, but Chronicals has possibilities and I'm sure he will add more features.
