pretty pretty
The whole sky was covered in thick clouds this morning. Well, all but a thin stripe on the eastern horizon. As I was almost to work, I looked over at the horizon and the underside of the clouds was bright red! Not a bad sunrise for so many clouds!

Happy Hump Day to everyone. It will be the weekend before we know it! I hope everyone has a great day today!

That sunrise sounds so awesome Gary :)
Garygdj on June 2nd, 2004 07:38 am (UTC)
It was quite nice, especially since it seemed at first that none would be seen!

Good Morning Gary...
So, you finally got to see that pretty sunrise!
Good deal!:-)
Hope your day is good.

Re: Good Morning Gary...
Good morning Jo! The only thing I am missing now is that sunrise which is viewable from the start of my trip and builds as I make my drive!

Are you all in for another sweltering day? We've got some cloud cover which is suppose to keep us a bit cooler today.

Re: Good Morning Gary...
Oh! I see...
You want mother nature to paint that sunrise as you go!:-)

I don't think it's going to be as HOT as yesterday.
The HI is 85 right now & it's mostly cloudy.
The problem is the wind has died down, so it makes it feel even more humid.
Guess I had better get used to it though.
Hubby told me the other day, "Well, Jo, you have to get out in it everyday to get your body acclimated." LOL~ I told him I'll pass!;-)

How much cooler are those clouds keeping you?
Are y'all already in the 90's there too?

HI=
Heat Index, not HI!:-)

Re: Good Morning Gary...
No, no 90's yet. I think today we are supposed to stay in the 70's :-).

I'd prefer to say God is painting the sunrise! I have seen a few like that and they are awesome! The color shifts from purple to red to golden! Very nice.

Re: Good Morning Gary...
70's!!!!!!
It's been in the upper 70's even at night here, the other night it was in the 80's. Too HOT, I'll tell ya!

Well, I see more sunsets than sunrises myself.
Not that I'm not up, I'm just always busy with other things.
Also, I'd have to stand out in the backyard to really view one, as the trees to the east block it!

You paint a pretty picture in your detailed account of them though.
I almost feel as if I'm watching it!

Well, I'm going to go sit outside on the back porch & watch hubby mow.:-)He had a break in work & got to come home.
He got the tractor fixed & he's ready to go now!:-)

Enjoy your morning!

Re: Good Morning Gary...
I think that half of the fun is watching a good sunrise/sunset is being able to describe it here! That way, I can enjoy it twice and someone who has not seen it can also enjoy it!

Work, I could watch it all day! :-) I'm going to lunch! Enjoy your watching!

Re: Good Morning Gary...
True!:-)

Yes well, I ended up walking to the back of the property with L. there's a levy back there, he calls it "going to the hill."
There's a culvert that has weeds growing up around it that hubby had mentioned he wanted to clear. I went & got the lawn mower & did that.
There wasn't a breeze blowing.
I could have won a wet t-shirt contest. *blush*
By the time we started to walk back, the wind could blow ya down.
Figures!:-)

I'm fixing fresh green beans & new potatoes.
Do you like fresh veggies & fruits?

Garygdj on June 2nd, 2004 12:57 pm (UTC)
Re: Good Morning Gary...
Oh yeah, nothing like free veggies! I especially like fresh sweet corn! Have you ever had the white corn on the cob? It is very good!

Re: Good Morning Gary...
I've never had the white corn on the cob. A few days ago we had some that was speckled yellow & white.
It was almost too sweet for my liking.

Haha!
I came in and ripped that shirt off so fast...
No pictures of it though. LOL

I'm letting M borrow my van to goto the beach.
I am worried already & he hasn't left from next door yet.;-)
I hope he does alright.

Re: Good Morning Gary...
You probably would not like the white corn then. It's quite sweet and tender! You'r ethe mother, I guess it's your job to worry, but try not to worry too much!
