Good morning! It's cool this morning at 53 I think it was. We may get some rain this morning and then tomorrow is supposed to be nice.

I hope everyone has a great day and a wonderful weekend! I know I'm ready for a weekend!

morning Gary, we got some rain come through last night, today is suppose to be clear of the rain, but tomorrow more again, but Omaha is suppose to be only partly cloudly tomorrow (sounds like a great day for the zoo) and then rain up there sunday. I hope the forcast is right. I am looking forward to seeing some of those exhibts again, like the shark tank, and see others for the first time, like the dessert, that was still under construction when I was there before.

Good morning Kevin! I sure hope it turns out to be a good day for the zoo! I'm not been to either the Topeka or Omaha zoo. It's been quite some time since I was at the KC zoo too.

the zoo's
last time I was at the KC zoo was when I was in Kindergarten, I remember walking through that great big whale tunnel (do they still have that--or maybe that was something in the park where we ate our sack lunches--hard to remember--a young mind, especially that young mixes things together) and ridding the train. Topeka zoo became world famous because they built the world's 1st rainforest. Omaha has a great penguin exhibt that you can go omahazoo.com and see on webcam but I like the shark tank much better --- the sharks swim on both sides and above you as you walk through this tunnel looking at litterally hundreds of sharks of various kinds. It is absolutely facinating.

Re: the zoo's
I honestly can't say if the whale tunnel is still at KC. In fact, you may have been to KC zoo more recently than I have! :-) I surely don't remember that at all!

The shark tunnel sounds interesting. I've been to San Diego and seen the marine exhibits (killer whal and dolphin I believe) there. They also have a cool wild animal park in San Diego. We were there back when our kids were little, so that places it about 20 years ago.
