It's a joke!

One sunny day in 2005 an old man approached the White House from across
Pennsylvania Avenue, where he'd been sitting on a park bench. He went up
to the U.S. Marine standing guard and said, "I would like to go in and
meet with President Kerry." The Marine looked at the man and said, "Sir,
Mr. Kerry is not the president, he did not win the election and he doesn't
reside here." The old man said, "Okay" and walked away. The following day,
the same man approached the White House and said to the same Marine, "I
would like to go in and meet with President Kerry." The Marine again told
the man, "Sir, as I said yesterday, Mr. Kerry is not the president and
doesn't reside here." The man thanked him and walked away. The third day,
the same man approached the White House and spoke to the very same U. S.
Marine, saying, "I would like to go in and meet with President Kerry." The
Marine, understandably agitated at this point, looked at the man and said,
"Sir, this is the third day in a row you have been here asking to speak
to Mr. Kerry. I've told you already that Mr. Kerry is not the president
and doesn't reside here. Don't you understand?" The old man looked at the
Marine and said, "Oh, I understand. I just love hearing it." The Marine
snapped to attention, saluted, and said, "See you tomorrow."

If you didn't like the way the recent election turned out, you probably don't want to click it!

Hey, I found your username on the YWAM community deal... thoguht I'd drop you a line. Basically, I'm looking at doing a DTS and I'd love to hear about what involvement you may have had with YWAM. Care to chat it up sometime?

Hello there. We attended a Crossroads DTS (for older married people mostly) in Kona, HI back in 1985. Our outreach was to Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong and into mainland China for a week. We were later on staff at YWAM's Pacific and Asia University for 2 years.

Where will you be doing your DTS?

Hopefully in Australia - the Beach to Bush trip. I'm unsure though.

If there is anything I can tell you about YWAM, I'll be glad to do so. Understand that each DTS and each YWAM base is a little different, but much is similar, so I might be able to give you a general idea on things at least!
