a sad week
Some of you may remember me asking for prayer for Mary Fry, our pastor's wife who was battling cancer. The Lord called Mary home this past Wednesday.

While death for a Christian is never a bad thing, it's still a sad event for those who are left behind. Pam and I have known the Frys for almost 30 years. We will surely miss Mary and I know her home will seem empty to her family without her presence. She leaves our pastor and her four five sons.

The funeral/life celebration will be tomorrow.

Gary, I'm so sorry for the loss of your pastor's wife and your friend. God has healed her now and she is more alive than ever. I pray that God will comfort her family and friends during this time of grieving. We serve a wonderful Lord that knows exactly how we feel and what we are going through.

I'm sorry Gary. My pastor lost his 12 year old daughter to cancer about ten years ago. His continued faith has been a temtimony to many. I'll pray for your pastor's strength.

Thanks! We went to the life celebration this afternoon. It was sad, but at the same time uplifting. Our pastor and his five sons are all strong in the Lord and we had a good worship service. We'll all miss Mary, but we know she is in a better place and no longer has to fight the cancer.
